UCL in London has run two separate Nanopore MinION sequencing training sessions, in which participants from across the PANDORA-ID-NET, CANTAM, TESA and EACCR2 networks learned the basics of Nanopore sequencing, including:

  • How Nanopore technology works
  • An introduction to the different Nanopore platforms
  • Introduction to sequencing analysis
  • Practical session using the Rapid Barcoding kit
  • Practical session using the Rapid PCR Barcoding kit
  • How to load a flow cell
  • Introduction to MinKNOW and EPI2ME
