The ISO 15189 is actually the document that is used for confirming or recognizing the competence of medical laboratories by authoritative accreditation bodies.
It is therefore important for laboratories seeking accreditation to familiarize themselves with the ISO 15189, this will help the laboratory to understand the requirements and to know how to meet the requirements -
