Collecting samples
Cepheid have produced a factsheet for healthcare workers, including Health and safety.
The above fact sheet directs healthcare workers to the CDC interim laboratory biosafety guidelines regarding the use of PPE when collecting samples for use with the GeneXpert.
They suggest also referring to the CDC interim guidelines for collecting, handling, and testing clinical specimens for COVID-19.
